Focus and Scope

The Nigerian Journal of Orthopaedics and Trauma (NJOT) publishes high-quality technical, clinical, and scientific studies related to orthopaedics, trauma, and the broader musculoskeletal sciences. The journal covers research addressing clinical, epidemiological, ethical, and social issues relevant to clinical research in orthopaedics and trauma.

The scope of the journal includes, but is not limited to:

  • Clinical orthopaedics and trauma surgery
  • Orthopaedic and trauma epidemiology
  • Basic science research with direct relevance to orthopaedics and musculoskeletal health
  • Pharmaceutical research related to orthopaedic and musculoskeletal disorders

Articles with clear clinical relevance, translational value, or direct implications for patient care and practice will be given preference.
